On Saturday, July 15th, The Giving Quilt hosted a sew day specifically geared to foster children of Louisiana. Two of our initiatives, Brave Heart Children in Need and My Belongings will be the recipients of these quilts once complete.
It was a fabulous day with 43 participants! There were 81 kits cut and they were all taken! Wendi Lemoine, Executive Director of Brave Heart spoke to educate us on the various things Brave Heart does to help foster children. It was a very successful day. We hope to have another sew day in the near future. Look at the pics of these happy faces.
