Latest update on our Hurricane Helene Relief drive.
November 19, 2024, I dropped off items to Cajun Navy Relief for the Appalachian area that was affected by Hurricane Helene.
Totals from this (our 4th) donation were:
88 Quilts
11 Receiving blankets
9 Fleece blankets
4 Crocheted hats
16 Pillowcases
86 Tote bags

Due to their efforts, we have donated a total of:
224 Quilts/blankets, 215 Pillowcases, 156 Tote bags & 4 Hats

We would like to update everyone on what we’ve been doing toward sending quilts to those affected by Hurricane Helene in the Appalachian are. To date, there have been three separate deliveries of donations. In total, 116 quilts/blankets – 199 pillowcases – and 70 tote bags have been boxed up and sent to the devastated area. We are still collecting these items until November 26, 2024.
