The Giving Quilt is currently planning for our February 2027 Sew Day and would like to ask our members and volunteers to please help us out.
If you would like to contribute to this Sew Day’s success, please make some 12-1/2″ blocks using one or both of the patterns attached below. The patterns are relatively easy and should sew tobether rather quickly. The patterns are linked below for your use.
We ask that each block use only two color families of fabric, a main/focus fabric and a background fabric that is white or off-white tone on tone. It does not matter what color family you use, we just would like there to be only one main/focus color family per block. For instance, one block would be blue main/focus fabrics and another block would be green main/focus fabrics, etc.

If you would like, we have many fat quarters of all different color families available to be used for this project. A Giving Quilt member will have some to choose from at the local guild meetings, or contact one of our board members.
The deadline for turning blocks in is January 18, 2027 and our Sew Day will be held on February 13, 2027 at St. John Methodist Church, 230 Renee Drive, Baton Rouge, LA from 9:00 – 3:00.
